The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Lattin's Country Cider Mill and Farm with my parents between sessions of General Conference on Saturday. There were lots of farm animals to see. We started by feeding the goats. Kyle and Olivia liked giving them handfuls of grass to eat. You could also buy goat food and feed the goats right out of your hand. A nice girl scout leader gave us a bag of that so the kids could feed the goats. Olivia was NOT interested in getting that close to the goats but Kyle LOVED it! He thought it was hilarious and he loved having the goats nibble on and lick his fingers. We also got to see lots of baby chickens, baby ducks, peacocks, bees (they loved the fresh apple cider and delicious, hot apple fritters!), rabbits, cows, horses, etc.

We spent a long time riding in this car and motorcycle--we probably would have stayed all day if it were up to Kyle! Boppa even figured out a way to make it move while Olivia and Kyle were in it together.

We had fun looking at all of the pumpkins. It was hard to pick which pumpkins were the best ones to take home.

(The choice was a little easier since Olivia and Kyle had to be able to carry their own pumpkin, which meant they could only pick from the little ones.)

Olivia didn't want to carry her pumpkin because it was dirty. Kyle wouldn't put it down or let anyone else hold it for him!

The kids now LOVE pumpkins! What a fun day!
