The Box

I love how kids can be so entertained by simple things. A couple weeks ago we got Olivia a new car seat, which sat in our living room for a few days before it was put into the car. Every time Olivia came down the stairs she got really excited, and yelled "New Car Seat!" She and Kyle looked at it, touched it, sat in it, and basically just loved that it was there. The new car seat is now in the car, but every time we go to the car she reminds me that she will sit in her new car seat and Kyle will sit in his new car seat too (he's using Olivia's old one).

However, the very best part of this new car seat is the big box that it came in! It looks really ugly sitting in my front room and it takes up a lot of space, but I just can't part with it because the kids are having so much fun with it. It is perfect for climbing in, playing peek-a-boo, crawling inside, eating on it like it's a table, hiding things in, cooking on it like a counter, and pushing around the room. Basically, it's a great toy and we're definitely getting our money's worth!
